The meeting got started with the review of the action items from last board meeting held in April.
• The Chairman & his co-members should target a fundraising bracket to a minimum of 200.000 PKR during the month of May 2024 to achieve the 2025 1 M PKR challenge. – Achieved
• The IT specialist was assigned to become fully functional with the uploading of necessary documents on the website and design the one-page pamphlet. - Achieved
• The Finance Secretary was assigned to compile a list of all the current children receiving the stipends from Zehra Education Trust – Achieved
• Finally, the team based in Pakistan should start working towards establishing Zehra Education Trust as a legal body. On-going
The 2nd Agenda item was the information about the donation collected so far. The chairman informed the board members that in April a 4-fold donation strategy was launched by the Trust as explained in (Fig-1)

The results of this strategy have so far been exemplary with the donations received in both non-religious & religious categories always above the expected targets (Fig-2).

In the 3rd agenda item, the chairman & the board members discussed about the positive outcome of the on-going loyalty program for monthly contributions in Pakistan. The chairman informed the team about his vision of making 100 members by the end of December 2024 as shown in the (Fig-3).

Next agenda item was about the enrollment of new students in the coming months. The finance secretary informed the board that the Trust has achieved it’s target of enrolling up to 50 students by the end of June 2024. The team then discussed the numbers of students that will be enrolled during the coming months as explained in (Fig-4).

Another agenda item discussed was the launching of ZET’s monthly contribution scheme for overseas donors. In this regard the IT & Finance teams were directed to work efficiently to establish a safe online payment mechanism.
Two points were discussed in the any other business section.
• Establishing a business account while using What’s App and also using communities feature of the App in order to streamline the incoming messages.
• Inclusion of a female member in the Board.
Finally, before closing the meeting the chairman assigned the following tasks to himself and among the members: -
• Chairman should visit the bank authorities during his incoming Pakistan trip to sort out key financial matters.
• Also, chairman should expedite the work on establishing the ZET’s legal status. He should conduct key meetings in this regard during his Pakistan trip.
• The chairman himself and every board member should try to reach out their contacts and convince them to join the ZET’s loyal program for monthly contributions launched both in Pakistan & Overseas.
Finally, the IT Specialist should focus on the following key tasks during the coming month.
• Preparation of July Newsletter
• Finalize the flyer for overseas donor (With a direct link for online payment)
• Assist the New students with their enrolments.
• Continue to maintain the data repository on the google drive.
The next meeting will take place on the last weekend of July.
