Minutes of Meeting: 

The 1st Online meeting of Zehra Education Trust's new board members was held Via the TEAMS platform on Sunday, April 28'th 2024 @ 6 PM PST.  The meeting was chaired by the newly designated chairman and was attended by all the new board members located in Pakistan, US & Europe. Also, the newly appointed IT Specialist attended the meeting.

The meeting got started with the Chairman's introductory remarks about the mandate given to him for running the Zehra Education Trust. The chairman asked all of his board members to introduce themselves to the IT specialist and vice versa.

As for the first agenda item, the chairman informed board members about the fundraising activities accomplished during April 2024. The members were informed that against a target of 100,000 PKR funding of 150,000 PKR was achieved towards raising 1 M PKR for the revival of Zehra Education Trust.

The 2nd agenda Item was the information provided by the Finance Secretary about the current stipends sanctioned for the children of Noor Public School. The Finance Secretary informed the board members that he has met some of the parents at school and they are very much worried about the ending of the Trust's Stipend for some of the student. The board members asked the Finance Secretary to provide a complete list of students who have been finalized to receive the Stipends from April 2024 and onwards.

3rd Agenda item that came into discussion was about the IT services that the specialist is going to provide. As of the most urgent need, it was decided to design a one-page pamphlet to highlight the vision of Zehra   Education Trust and its past achievements. This task was assigned to the IT specialist to be finished within one month.

The last agenda item discussed was to start working towards the confirmation of Zehra Education Trust's current legal status. In this regard, the chairman informed board members that he would take assistance from Mr. Ammar Jafri. Also, the chairman directed the team based in Pakistan to be available for any meetings during the month of May 2024.

Finally, before closing the meeting, the chairman reminded every member about his responsibility to the following Action Items.

1. The Chairman & his co-members should target a fundraising bracket to a minimum of 200.000 PKR during the month of May 2024 to achieve the 2025 1 M PKR challenge.

2. The IT specialist was assigned to become fully functional with the Uploading of necessary  documents on the website and design the one-page pamphlet.

3. The Finance Secretary was assigned to compile a list of all the current children receiving the stipends from Zehra Education Trust.

4. Finally, the team based in Pakistan should start working towards the establishment of Zehra Education Trust as a legal body.

In the end, it was decided that the next online meeting of the board members will take place on the last Sunday of May 2024 and each member has to give an update about the action items assigned to him.
