ZET Scholarship-2024

Zehra Education Trust is a Non-Profit organization that was established on 14th November 1987 as a small family NGO (registered) after receiving a donation of PKR 50,000/- from a kind-hearted lady MS. Kaneez Zehra with the help of her daughter Ms. Kaneez Syedda. Since then the Trust has been operating on Non-Religious & Non-Political grounds. The Trust is governed by members of the board of directors who work voluntarily and all the other office bearers are paid every month. Education remains an unfulfilled promise to millions of Pakistani children. Many parents cannot afford to send their kids to school and instead have no choice but to get them to start working. Because of this, they are less likely to drop out before completing their studies.

The objective of Zehra Education Trust is to promote formal education in Pakistan at any level (including the universities) for poor & deserving students without the barriers of religion, gender, sect & casts. Applications are received through an online portal maintained on a website & social media pages. All the applications are thoroughly reviewed and scrutinized. The donations collected by the Trust are directly paid to the educational institution after maintaining proper invoicing & E-Receipts. 

Our organization identifies children who are going to public schools and cannot meet their education expenses because of financial hardships. We then provide them with a monthly stipend and at the same time track their progress, making sure that they secure good grades. 

Our Vision for the next 10 years is to grow the Trustaffiliation with more than 10000 students all over Pakistan by raising 10 Million PKR. This is a big task but your donation can help us achieve our vision. Every year, we provide financial aid to about 50 students and each of these gets about 500 rupees (or $5) per month.
